Welcome to
The Weatherford Mountain Bike Club

An organization of citizen volunteers dedicated to
building sustainable, multi-use trails.

Our mission is to establish guidelines and a framework for cooperation between the Weatherford Mountain Bike Club (WMBC), the City of Weatherford and Parker County regional land managers to collectively work together to build, maintain and manage multi-use nature trails  for the benefit of the off-road bicycling, trail running and hiking communities of North Texas.

Trail Status

Look for this banner on our Facebook page
before you head out to the trail to be sure they're open and ready to ride, especially if it has rained recently.
Red is No, green is Go.

Rides, Events and Announcements

New Trail in the Works!

Shadow Trail Designs has begun construction on an approximately 3.5 mile extension of the Parks of Aledo Trail. The new trail extension will be located inside the residential development west of Bailey Ranch Road and north of Jenkins Road called, Parks of Aledo, Bluffs.

As the name suggests, a segment of the new trail will include riding along a bluff overlooking a valley of the Trinity River. The new trail will be a much different ride experience than the existing POA Trails. A new parking facility and trailhead is under construction that will serve as the primary trailhead. Look for WMBC volunteer trail build events to be announced in the near future.

Follow Shadow Trail Designs on Facebook for daily updates on the progress.  If you would like to volunteer to help with the build contact Shadow Trail Designs here.

Tales of the Trails

Mountain Bike trails don't spontaneously appear - it takes coordination between bike advocates, land managers, communities and other stakeholders to bring them from concept to reality.  The links below will take you to articles about the origins of our three local trails.
